KORN To Have Street Named After Them; Band to Receive 'Lifetime Achievement' Plaque
February 22, 2006KORN will be honored with a bronze plaque to commemorate a "lifetime of achievement" and will have a street named after them in their hometown of Bakersfield, California. The ceremony will take place this Friday, February 24 at the Rabobank Arena in Bakersfield, right before the band kick off their "See You on the Other Side" world tour. The mayor, city councilmen, and other city and arena officials are scheduled to appear at the ceremony.
KORN's North American tour will wrap up on April 4 in Toronto, Canada. MUDVAYNE and 10 YEARS will be the opening acts.
"See You On The Other Side" has sold 702,000 copies since its release on December 6, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
KORN bassist Reginald "Fieldy" Arvizu told MTV.com that he is currently working on a new solo effort, describing it as "heavy," and not a follow-up to his 2002 rap project, FIELDY'S DREAMS.
KORN recently shot a video for "Coming Undone", the second single from "See You On The Other Side".
